Oneonta – Joel D. Finch, 88, passed away November 25, 2021 at A.O. Fox Hospital, Oneonta.

He was born March 22, 1933 in Deposit, the son of Clifford and Genevieve (Seymour) Finch.

Joe married Margaret Smith on July 3, 1953.

He was a United States Army veteran serving with the 11 ^th Airborne.

Joe was a professional truck driver. In his retirement years, he was a bus driver for Oneonta Public Transit.

He was a member of the Teamsters. Joe loved to reminisce.  He was an all-around good guy, everyone loved him.

He is survived by his children, Renee Ebraheem, Vickie and Michael Hudson, Michael and Mary Ellen Finch and Stanton and Donna Finch; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings, Daniel Finch and Diane Alcott and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Margaret; son, Joel Finch Jr. and his wife, Jane; and his sister, Betty Gransbury.

At the request of Joe there will be no services. Interment at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.
