Joel C. Staudohar, 72, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

He was born on September 26, 1939 in Ossining, the son of Joseph P. and Therese B. (Stork) Staudohar.

Joel married Lucille Conte on October 17, 2002 in Worcester.

He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962.

Joel worked in Middle Management for IBM in East Fishkill, retiring 22 years ago.

Living in Brooklyn until the age of 15, Joel also lived in Fishkill and Bedford Hills, NY before moving to Worcester in 1990.

Joel was a huge Yankee fan who enjoyed gardening, fishing, hiking and landscaping.

He is survived by his wife Lucille; 2 daughters, Donna Staudohar and Carol Moretti and her husband, Alan; a son, Keith Staudohar; a son-in law, John Chicos; 3 step-sons, Alfred, Joseph and Michael Hill; 1 step-daughter, Dawn Hill; 9 grandchildren; a sister, Consuelo Pasquale and her husband, James; and 2 nephews, Nicholas and Eric.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday August 13, 2012 at St. Joseph's Church, 181 Main St. in Worcester with the Rev. Ronald Green, MM as celebrant.

Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
