MT. VISION – John P. "Jack" Bertuccio, 74, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at Bassett Medical Center, after an illness.

He was born March 2, 1941 in Brooklyn, the son of Gaetano and Marguerite (Ryan) Bertuccio.

Jack married Sharon Daffer in October of 1966.

Jack was a self-employed Electronics Technician and a master trouble shooter. He had varied interests; including photography, music, amateur machining, watches and clocks, drones, and history.

Him and his wife traveled and camped across country, and lived in Mexico for a time. They recently traveled to Ireland and Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Bertuccio; his brother, Thomas (Lucille) Bertuccio of Bloomington, IN, nieces, Elizabeth and Mari Bertuccio of Portland, OR; a sister-in-law, Claire (William) Schatz of Kissimmee, FL; nephew, William (Nancy) Schatz and niece, Annemarie (Bob) Bubla of Long Island, NY; and various cousins. "adopted" children Mark Frank, Kelly Hyatt and Teresann Campbell; "adopted" grandchildren Sheila, Michaela, Shannon, Cassandra, Ryan and Craig.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.

A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Friday, August 7th at Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta, with the Reverend Craig Schwalenberg, Unitarian Universalist Society, officiating.
