OTEGO – It is with sadness and surprise that we report the death of John Ruland. He was a devoted family man, a passionate advocate, a good friend to many and the loving husband of Christine Ruland who died in 2007. He was a man who always tried to "do the right thing", although as he'd be quick to point out "that's kind of subjective, don't ya think?" He was a positive influence and made a real difference in people's lives. There is no doubt that he will be missed by many and remembered fondly. He passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the age of 71.
