Obituary

JEFFERSON – Joseph Vitale, 66, went to the junk yard in the sky, on Thursday, February 8, 2007. He died at his home unexpectedly.

He was born December 24, 1940 in New York City, the son of Benjamin and Josephine (Pugliese) Vitale.

Joe has been an area resident for 28 years. He had a passion for antiques and working in his garage. He was able to transform with his magic hands an old broken down vehicle into to a show room beauty.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his longtime friend and companion, Kathleen McClaine of Jefferson;
Two daughters, Colleen and her husband, Micky Miller of Maryland and Tara and her husband, Erick Sanders of Arizona; grandchildren, Zane Joseph Miller and Tatum Anne Sanders; a sister, Joann Wiggan of California; his faithful companion, Zoe; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel in Worcester on Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 11:30 a.m. to the funeral service time at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Jane Pykus, pastor of the Worcester United Methodist Church officiating.
