ONEONTA - Judy Lee Heck Anderson, 49, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 after a long illness surrounded by her family at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.
She was born November 9, 1962 in Oneonta, the daughter of Wayne R. Heck Sr. and Margo (Wayman) Heck.
Judy Lee attended the Oneonta School District. She was a very free soul and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time fishing and taking walks in the woods with her children. She was a master of all trades and willing to help anyone in need.
She married Donald Anderson on January 6, 1985 in Fort Worth, Texas.
She is survived by their children, Melissa Duchaime of Pensacola, Fla., Nathan Anderson of St. Mary's, Penn. and Joshua Anderson of Oneonta, who attends Franklin Central School; 4 grandchildren; her parents, Wayne Sr. and Margo Heck of Oneonta; her brother, Wayne Heck Jr. of Mt. Vision; her sister, Deborah and Michael Janitz of Oneonta; a niece and nephews, Wayne III and Tammy Heck, Aaron Heck, Michael Janitz, Joseph and Lacey Janitz; great-nieces and nephews, Aubrey and Evan Janitz, Miley and Briana Heck and Keegan Heck; also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; grandparents, Frank and Pearl Wayman and Charles and Eva Heck and a great-grandmother, Josephine Oliver.
A special thank you is extended to the staff at Catskill Area Hospice. Also we would like to thank friends and family and the staff on One North for all their support and kindness.
On Monday, February 27, 2012 time for visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. with the Memorial Service starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 25 River St., Oneonta, with the Major Jim Smith officiating. Refreshments will follow.
Donations may be made to Family Services, 277 Chestnut St., Oneonta or to the Salvation Army, 25 River St., Oneonta, NY 13820.
