Obituary

Julia Stringer, born June 2, 1918 in New York City, the daughter of Anthony and Susan (Roketa) Ronavech, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 11, 2006 at A.O. Fox Memorial Nursing Home in Oneonta, New York.

Julia was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. Together with her husband they owned and operated various businesses. She was also employed by the Oneonta Dress Company and Nita's Bridal Shop.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward V. and Linda S. (Delello) Stringer; a granddaughter, Alysa G. Stringer and friend, Thomas E. Treadway Jr.; one brother, William Ronovech; sister-in-law, Bertha Roketa; and several nieces and nephews.

Julia was predeceased by her husband, Edward D. Stringer; brothers, Victor Ronovech and Charles Roketa; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Ronovech.

A graveside service will be held at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Emmons on Thursday, September 14, 2006 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Joseph Benintende, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Julia's name to the A.O. Fox Memorial Nursing Home, 1 Norton Ave., Oneonta, NY 13820.
