SCHENEVUS - Katherine Carroza, affectionately known as Bobbie, passed away June 20, 2013 at A.O Fox Nursing Home, Oneonta.
She was born July 14, 1928 in the Bronx, the daughter of Harry & Madeline (Gatto) Carroza.
Survivors are her sister, Marie Chamberlain and her twin sister, Kathleen Backen (Chickie); nephews, Clifford Backen, Warren Chamberlain and Edward and Wayne Jones.
She is predeceased by her sisters, Evelyn Ball and Edith Jones.
Bobbie worked in several positions at Andrew S. Draper Central School in Schenevus for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and The Alter Rosary Society.
Calling hours will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, with the Vigil service at 5 p.m. at the Heller Funeral Home, 25 Arch St., Schenevus.
The Funeral Mass will be 11 am, Thursday, June 27, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Ronald Green, MM, as celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Donations may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, PO Box 156, Worcester, NY 12197.
