MARYLAND – Katherine Margaret Hough, 55, died Monday, June 8, 2009 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, surrounded by family and friends.



She was born August 1, 1953 in Oneonta, the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Tompkins) Hough.



Kathy will be dearly missed by her family who survivors her; her mother, Margaret Hough of Maryland; her sister, Ruth (Bill) Cole of North Carolina; her brother, Albert William (Val) Hough of Vestal; two sisters-in-law, Karen Short and Gail Hough; nieces, Jennifer (Josh) Billings, Cyndi (Dwayne) Fowler, Emily Hough and Elizabeth Hough; a nephew, Erik (Kim) Cole; several great nieces, great nephews and cousins; and her beloved cat, Zipper.



She was predeceased by her father, Albert Hough and a brother, Jack P. Hough.



Kathy was a graduate of Schenevus Central School and attended the Cooperstown Junction United Methodist Church.



She will be missed by all her friends at Astrocom, where she worked for 37 years.



Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2009 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home in Oneonta.



The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Friday, June 12 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Al Bullard, pastor of the Cooperstown Junction United Methodist Church, officiating.



Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Oneonta.
