WORCESTER – Kenneth E. Krug, 78, passed away after a brief illness, Friday, January 26, 2007 at the Otsego Manor.
He was born January 23, 1929 in Paterson, NJ, the son of William and Margaret (Kincaid) Krug.
Ken was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was the owner & operator of Krug's Hardware in Franklin Lakes, NJ then relocated his store to Worcester in 1983.
Ken was a member of the Worcester American Legion Post 1584 and the Southeastern Otsego Rotary Club.
He is survived by his lifelong friend and companion, Simone Kunath and her sons, Michael Kunath and Barry Lewis; grandchildren, Jessie and Seth Lewis, Quinn Kunath, Mark, Brian, John, Jimmy, Janelle and Victoria Tauzel; a brother, Charles and his wife, Audrey Krug of Great Meadows, NJ; a sister-in-law, Henrietta Krug of Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, and a brother, William Harry Krug.
Following all of Ken's wishes, there will be no viewing, no service and no memorial. He requested to be directly cremated.
