SCHENEVUS - Kim Warren Jester, 57, of Schenevus, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 23, 2011.
He is the son of Warren and Edith Jester, born on June 29, 1953, in Oneonta, NY.
Kim graduated, with honors, from A.S. Draper Central School and attended SUNY Oneonta.
He was employed by the NYS Department of Transportation in the Construction Division as a Bridge Inspector. He was a choir member and treasurer of the Board of Trustees of the Schenevus United Methodist Church.
He was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast. He was a caring and generous man, contributing to numerous charities and foundations throughout his life.
Kim was deeply loved by his family, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he adored. Surviving are his mother, Edith V. Jester; his sister, Carol and Mario Arevalo and their children, Benjamin and Kathryn Arevalo and their son, Ian, Chris Arevalo, Daniel Arevalo and fiancée, Amy and their daughter, Violet; his sister, Kaye Freling and her children, Kraig Butcher and his son, Benjamin, Kurt and Maurissa Butcher and their son, Kaden, Robert, Emily and Bryce Freling; his brother, Timothy Jester and his children, Aaron Jester, Joshua and Janine Jester and their children, Ryan and Tayler, Krista Jester and Chico Richardson and their daughter, Riley; his brother, Kerry and Kristi Jester and their children, Toni Stratte and her daughter, Aubrie, Matthew Jester, Jessica Jester, Colton Jester, Seth Jester, Amanda Busselman and fiancé, Mike McCurdy and their son, Blake, Emily and Kenny Langston and their daughters, Hanna, Brenna and McKenna, Joshua Busselman; his sister, Corinne and John Davidson and their children, Connor and Olivia, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kim was predeceased by his father, Warren C. Jester.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Schenevus United Methodist Church, Main Street, Schenevus, with the Rev. Lawrence Russell, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, co-officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
