Lambert F. Zaengle
WORCESTER – Lambert F. Zaengle, 89, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Otsego Manor in Cooperstown.
Born June 3, 1918, in Scranton, Pa., the son of Joseph K. And Mildred (McGuire) Zaengle, Bert was a graduate of Kutztown Teacher's College and received his master's degree at Lehigh University. He was a science teacher in Deposit, Worcester and Oneonta High Schools, retiring in 1978.
A long time resident of Worcester, Bert was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Knight's of Columbus. He also served on the school board at Worcester Central School.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn A. (Guy) and 12 children: Joe and his wife, Diane; Bud and his wife, Sally; Bill and his wife, Tina; Don and his wife, Chris; Tom and his wife, Janice; Jim and his wife, Mary T.; Ed and his wife, Soo; Anne and her husband, Mark; Mary and her husband, John; Janet and her husband, Todd; Jean and her husband, Pat; and Ken and his fiancée, Sarah. He is also survived by his niece Charlotte; a daughter-in-law, Jeanine; 35 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Bert was predeceased by his son, Jack in August of this year.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2007 at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Worcester, with the Rev. Edward Golding, as celebrant.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
