Obituary

Worcester – Larry Roy Clapper, 69, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2024.  He was at the Robinson Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stamford.

He was born July 29, 1954 in Cooperstown, the son of Roy and Florence (Powell) Clapper.

Larry graduated from Cobleskill High School.

He was a United States Navy veteran.

He married Diane Fingado on July 17, 1982 at the East Worcester Pilgrim Holiness Church.

Larry was employed at SUNY Cobleskill for 38 years.

He was a member of the Middleburg Pilgrim Holiness Church.

Larry was a very kind and tender-hearted person.  He was a loving husband, father, and brother and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Clapper; children, Angela Pidgeon and Nathan Clapper; siblings, Betty Fisher, Debra (Jerry) Weis, and Bruce (Anne) Clapper; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; son-in-law, Donald Pidgeon; siblings, Brian Clapper and Gary Clapper; and brother-in-law, Bobby Fisher.

The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at the Pilgrim Holiness Church, 2560 State Route 145, Middleburg.

The burial will be at the Carlisle Cemetery.
