Schenevus
Laura Mae Freece, 76, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at the Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
She was born on December 28, 1934 in Oneonta, the daughter of Charles Robert and Hilda (Moore) Freece.
Laura Mae was a lifelong area resident who worked at Astrocom Electronics in Colliersville.
She was a member, secretary/treasurer and organist of the East Worcester Baptist Church and a member of the Schenevus First Baptist Church where she was the organist for more than 20 years.
Laura Mae enjoyed music. She played piano monthly at the Hampshire House.
She is survived by her great aunt, Ruth Moore of Jefferson; her cousins, Margaret (Bill) Triolo of Milford, Roger (Muriel) Moore of Otego, Alice (Richard) Milewski of Scotia and Clayton (Susan) Moore of Ithaca.
She was predeceased by her parents.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Heller Funeral Home, 25 Arch St. in Schenevus with the Rev. Keith VanDewerker, retired officiating.
A calling hour will be held from noon until the service time.
Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester.
