Leah C. Lobdell, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Robinson Terrace in Stamford.
She was born on July 2, 1926 in Lexington, NY; the daughter of Alvah and Anna (Patterson) Cross.
Leah married Elmer Lobdell on October 26, 1943. He predeceased her on January 5, 1984.
Before moving to Worcester in 1985, she was a homemaker and owner of a dairy farm in the Town of Fulton with her husband.
She enjoyed her family and getting out socializing.
Leah is survived by her children Sherle Emma Giesin (Ronald) of Richmondville, Sharon Wright (John) of Jefferson, William P. Lobdell of Middleburgh, Jean Doyle (Roger) of Middleburgh, Carlton Lobdell (Crystal) of Franklin and Cathy Lobdell of Bloomville; 19 grandchildren, Ronald Jr., Stephen, Danny, Brian, John, David, Karen, William Jr., Crystal, Roger Jr. Melissa, MaryAnn, Carlton, Dale and twins Andrew and Calvin, Emma Rae, Lindsey and Logan; 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren , 1 brother, Paul Cross and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Sherry Lynn, granddaughter Tina Lobdell, sister's Frances Vining and Ida Cummings and her brother Raymond Cross.
A calling hour will be held Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, 155 Main Street in Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Carol Coltrain officiating.
Burial will follow at the Breakabeen Cemetery.
