WORCESTER - Lena C. Englehardt, 101, formerly of Schenectady, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Otsego Manor.
She was born October 28, 1906 in Maryland, NY, the daughter of Dorr H. And Cora E. (Peterson) Norton.
Lena married Hugh Devine. She remarried Max Englehardt in 1945. He predeceased her in 1958.
She was a factory worker for General Electric in Schenectady. After being widowed, she became a home care provider and homemaker.
Before moving to Worcester in 1974, Lena was a lifelong area resident of Schenectady. She was a dedicated Christian belonging to the Schenevus Baptist Church.
Lena is survived by her daughter, Joyce Sarah Hennelly and her husband, Robert of Mohawk, NY; her son, Hugh Devine Jr. and his wife, Janet of Virginia; 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Norton and her sister, Esther Norton Mabie.
A graveside service will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Schenectady Memorial Park in Schenectady.
