Liberta (Libby) A. Gennarino's Obituary
ONEONTA – Liberta A. (Libby) Gennarino, 59, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
She was born July 13, 1949 in the Bronx, the daughter of Angelo P. and Gilda (Nigro) Latteri.
Libby was a graduate State University College at Oneonta and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Oneonta.
She married Stephen J. Gennarino on August 30, 1969 at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen Gennarino of Rochester; her two sisters, Monica and husband, Ron Boege of New Hampshire and Wendy and husband, Claude Mechis of Florida; a sister-in-law, Barbara Gennarino of Rochester; a niece, Lisa and husband, John Enright; as well as other nieces, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and dear friends, Carol Cox and Sandy Terrino.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, Oneonta from 10 a.m. to the funeral service at Noon, with the Rev. John Burns, pastor at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Morris, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in loving memory of Libby to the Salvation Army, 25 River St., Oneonta, NY 13820 or to the SPCA, 4845 Route 28, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
