Jefferson - Linda Jane Smith-DeMarco, 59, passed away October 12, 2023.

Born August 5, 1964, in Oneonta, NY, Linda grew up in Worcester and was dearly loved by her grandparents Avery and Margaret Morell.

Linda was a strong and determined woman who committed her life to her family, both biological and "adopted", as well as the many pets she rescued.

Linda married her lifelong partner, Wayne DeMarco on September 18, 2004, in Worcester.

Linda lived her life in Jefferson, raising her children, supporting her siblings, caring for her pets, and building the home she was so very proud of with Wayne. She enjoyed reading and treasured being a grandmother to her grandson Forest.

Linda's memory will live on in the hearts and minds of all of those who loved her. She is survived by her husband, Wayne DeMarco; her daughter, Rowena Jane Smith; her son, Dean Allen Fort; her grandson, Forest Wright; her siblings, Edward Ronald Smith, Margaret "Peg" and husband, John Banks, Walter Hamm, Daniel Hamm, and Florence Hamm; nephews, Joseph Banks and John Banks Jr. and nieces, Tiffany Motter and Christine Banks; as well as many "adopted" children.

She was predeceased by her mother, Martha Jane (Morell) Smith; her grandparents, Avery and Margaret Morell; her beloved uncles Roy, Bob, and Tom Morell; and her brother Richy Smith.

Visitation will be 5 PM to 7 PM with a time for remembering and sharing at 6 PM on Thursday, October 19 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester.
