Obituary

Schenevus - Lois A. Husar, 63, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on February 1, 2026.

She was born January 28, 1963 in Red Bank, New Jersey, the daughter of Samuel and Barbara (Hayden) Guzzi.

Lois grew up in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey and graduated from Henry Hudson Regional School.

Lois loved being a stay at home mom, she always created adventures for her children and their friends. When her daughter became interested in riding horses, she became a manager of a horse farm. She then worked at various mortgage companies with her core group of coworkers, who became close friends.

In 2016, she and Tom bought a camp in upstate New York to enjoy the outdoors and calm weekends with beautiful scenery. In 2022 they moved to Charlotteville, New York with the dream of a Homestead.  She volunteered with the Charlotteville School House Restoration.  She treasured all aspects of the outdoors and had a love of animals. She enjoyed trout fishing, bird hunting with their dog Casey, and gardening.   Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was a mother that created beauty, whimsy, adventure and memories for her children and granddaughter. She was and is the reason people believe in beautiful souls, kind hearts and good energy, she never stopped being a good person.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Schnoor, Jr.; her children, Lucy (Tommy) Matthew and Andi (Michelle) Miller; and her granddaughter, Lenihan "Leni" who was her whole world.

She was predeceased by her parents and her siblings, Lydia and John Hardie and a nephew, Bill Hardie.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
