Loraine O. Funk passed quietly on January 25, 2016 at Focus Rehabilitation at Otsego in Cooperstown, she was 91.

She was born in Cobleskill, to Jesse, Sr. and Myrtle (Wellman) Oliver on July 29, 1924.

Loraine attended nursing school in Kingston from 1942-1943. She married Carl H. Funk in December 1943 and lived for some time on his parents' dairy farm. Loraine worked for New York State; was a telephone operator in Schoharie; did housekeeping until she graduated from Spencer Business School in 1967. She sold Life Insurance and then worked for 20 years 'til retirement at The Learning Resource Center, SUNY Cobleskill.

Loraine is survived by her children, Michael and Ruth (Hotaling) Funk, Richard, Sr. and Donna (Jones) Funk, Ronald Funk, Carleen (Funk) and Leonard Stimpson. She is also survived by several grandchildren as well as great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sisters, Leona, Jean and Elinor; her brother, Jesse Jr.; her grandson, Michael P. Funk.

There will be a celebration of life at a time to be determined.
