East Worcester – Lori A. Baker, 58, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 25, 2026.

She was born April 15, 1967 in Oradell, NJ, the daughter of William and Sylvia (Dezago) Schaefer.

Lori graduated from Worcester Central School.  She married James A. Baker on August 1, 1987 at the East Worcester Fish and Game Club.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Nicole Baker (Dan Jones) and Heather Baker; sister, Dawn (Tom) Lafontaine; mother-in-law, Edna Baker; brothers-in-law, David (Jean) Baker, Mike (Laurie) Baker, Tim Baker; and several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother-in-law, Roger Baker; father-in-law, Harvey Baker; aunt, Veronica Happel, and special friend, Alfred Prentice.

At Lori's request, there will be no services.  Honoring her love of animals, notably giraffes, please send memorial contributions to the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley, 304 Howe Cave Rd., Howes Cave, NY 12092.
