Lorraine T. Koerner, 69, of Decatur, passed away March 15, 2018 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown after a long illness.

She was born March 11, 1949 in Oneonta.

Lorraine had a long-time career working at the Unemployment Office in Oneonta.  She retired to enjoy time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and other loved ones.  Lorraine was an angel on earth, always caring for others.   She had so much love in her heart for everyone.  She loved all that nature had to offer, especially birds, trees, and flowers.  She liked good food, traveling, and adding to her many collectibles.  Lorraine will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Philip Neil Koerner; her children, Kristine VanDemark, Sidney, Philip M. Koerner, Worcester; grandchildren, Samantha & Jacob VanDemark, Sidney; siblings, George & Linda Decker, Decatur, Frederick (Ted) Decker, Decatur, William Decker, The Focus, David & Cynthia Decker, Georgia, Julie & Tom Dawes, Milford; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, Frederick A. and Theresa (Bailey) Decker and her sister-in-law, Patty Miller.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
