EAST WORCESTER – Lucille D. (Zeh) Lyon, 81, passed away Friday, September 5, 2008.
She was born July 14, 1927 in Lutheranville, the daughter of Olin and Grace (Decatur) Zeh.
She was the best mom, grandmother, great grandmother anyone could ever have. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed being around them.
She is survived by a brother, Marvin Zeh and wife, Julia and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Zeh; 3 sons, Merle Olin Tompkins of Worcester, William R. Tompkins and wife, Diane of Georgia and Timothy D. Tompkins and wife, Audra of Worcester; a daughter, Linda VanDyke and husband, Steve of East Worcester; 8 grandchildren, Rhonda Shaw, Timothy D. Tompkins Jr., Trever Tompkins, April Tompkins, Toby Bunn, Hope Bunn, Casey Bunn and Shannon Tompkins; 4 great grandchildren, Jordon Beverland, Ella Anderson, Sarah Jones, and Alexzander Bunn; 3 step grandchildren, Damien Bukovsky Cynthia and Colin Ruble; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 3 brothers, Mahlon, Burnett and Robert Zeh; 3 sisters, Martha Coon, Doris Sperbeck and Helen Couch; and a grandson, PFC Jeremy Tompkins.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the E.J. Skinner Funeral Chapel in Worcester.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Timmerman, pastor at the First Baptist Church, East Worcester, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Worcester.
