ONEONTA – Lynn Rood, 74, on December 13, 2015 she was welcomed home to the Lord.

Lynn was born July 16, 1941 in Passaic, NJ, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Sanford) Walker.


Lynn enjoyed crocheting, making dolls and many kinds of arts and crafts. She also enjoyed a good crossword puzzle and loved to dance. Her favorite time spent was with her family especially her grandchildren.


She is survived by her children, John and Crystal Tubbs of Bovina Center, Mari Allen of Oneonta, Judy and Bob Craft of East Springfield, Joann and Llyod Bishop of Bloomville, Molly and Stan Paddleford of Utica, Arthur Rood Jr. and Cassandra Frank of Maryland, and Nanette Gray of Oneonta; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary and Rennie Sprague of Milford; many nieces and nephews.


She was predeceased by her first husband, Kenneth J. Tubbs; her beloved husband of 32 years, Arthur Rood Sr.; her siblings, Wally and Johnny Walker and Dorothy Pierce; and two grandsons, Kenny Craft and Jerry Allen.


Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.


A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Word of Faith Church, 6568 State Highway 7, Maryland.
