GREENFIELD CENTER – Mabel I. Arnott, 79, passed away April 11, 2015 at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs.
She was born June 12, 1935 in Worcester, NY, the daughter of Howard and Pearl (Banks) Stevens.
A beloved mother and grandmother, she loved country music, dancing, gardening, and spending time with her family. She was a homemaker and a restaurant cook, who worked hard all of her life. She was a past president of the Chesterfield Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary in Connecticut, where she lived for many years.
Mabel was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Arnott; two grandsons, Walter Jr and Keith; sisters, Mary Clapper, Clara Arnott, and Susie Kenyon; and brothers, Harry Stevens and Howard "Ike" Stevens.
She is survived by her daughter, Jo-Ann Kowalweski of Greenfield Center; son, Raymond and Nita Arnott of Scotland, CT; daughter, Sandra and Walter Kobelski of Winchester, NH; daughter, Donna and David Rediger of Westville, IL; son, Gary and Loretta Arnott of Norwich, CT; son, David Arnott of Torrington, CT; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers Harold "Pete" Stevens, Walter "Bill" Stevens, Donald Wilsey, Paul Wilsey; sisters, Maggie Hillman and Marion Wilsey.
A graveside service at the Summit Cemetery will be announced in May.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or the charity of you choice.
