OTEGO – Margaret N. Hanssen of Otego passed peacefully from this life at the Oneonta Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 330 Chestnut Street in Oneonta, on May 30, 2007. She resided there for the last several years and considered it "her home".

Margaret was born in Boston, Massachusetts and was 91 years old. She often spoke of the difficulties her parents had immigrating to America and never forgot her Swedish roots. She lived a long and productive life, and was always proud to exclaim that she had worked until she "was 77 ½ years old!"

Attesting to her longevity she is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, and will be missed by all that were privileged to know her.

There will be no visiting hours.
