Obituary

Margaret H. Madden of Charlotteville, NY, passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on December 3, 2009.


She was born on June 11, 1931 in South New Berlin.


Margaret Henderson married Lee W. Madden of Charlotteville on November 28, 1953 in Columbus, NY.


Margaret moved to Charlotteville where she lived the remainder of her life on the family homestead raising 5 children and working for Cornell Cooperative Extension until her retirement.


She had a love of family, music, genealogy, history, crafts, reading. She had been active in Grange, Fireman's Auxiliary, Historical Association, Charlotteville School House Restoration Committee and the associated library. She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon).



She is survived by her husband, Lee W. Madden of Charlotteville; a sister, Florence Delameter and her husband, Carleton Delameter of Oneonta; several nieces, nephews; Margaret's daughter, Joy K. Innace and her husband, Joseph Innace of San Antonio, TX. Joy's son (Margaret's grandson) Christopher L. Beardsley of Phoenix AZ. Christopher's son (Margaret' great-grandson) Tyler McKiness of Cape Coral, FL. Joy's daughter (Margaret's granddaughter) Laura J. Innace and her husband, Richard Ali of San Antonio, TX. Laura's daughters (Margaret's great-granddaughters) Farrah J. Reyna and Allina J. Ali of San Antonio, TX. Margaret's daughter, Penny Lee McInnis of Albany. Penny's children (Margaret's grandchildren) (Predeceased) Kyle Martin Joyce and Megan Leanne McInnis of Oneonta. Margaret's son, Richard Dean Madden and his wife Betsy, of Charlotteville. Richard's son (Margaret's grandson) Kenneth C. Hotaling, Jr. of Carlisle. Ken's sons (Margaret's great-grandsons) Zachary Cooper of Summit, Kenneth Hotaling of Troy, Richard's son (Margaret's grandson) Jamie L. Madden of Charlotteville. Richard's son (Margaret's grandson) Eric S. Madden of Charlotteville. Margaret's son, Randolph E. Madden and his wife, Larraine, Randolph's son (Margaret's grandsons) Joshua Madden and Jordan Madden, all of Davenport, NY. Margaret's daughter, Jacqueline C. Madden and companion, Gerald Davis, Jr. of Schenevus.


She was predeceased by 9 siblings.


A gathering of family and friends will be at the Charlotteville School House, Charlotteville, NY on Sunday, December 6th, 2009 1:00 PM until 5 PM to celebrate Margaret's life.
