Obituary

WORCESTER – Marjorie (Marge) Granger, 57, passed away on July 26, 2014 at her home.

Born in Delhi to Harry and Marjorie (Kirk) Hamm on August 18, 1956; she had never missed a day of school and was the Jefferson Maple Queen. Marge was also a Den Mother for several years.

For many years she worked for E.J. Skinner Co. as a secretary. In 1995, she went to work for A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, retiring in 2012 due to her illness.

She married Peter Granger on October 2, 1999 in Worcester, who survives her and loves her very much. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Wayne Sabia, Jr. of Worcester, and Timothy and Melissa Sabia of the State Of Delaware; three precious grandchildren, Dylan, Bailey and Tyler; one stepdaughter, Carrie Brown of New Paltz; two step grandchildren, Hayley and Logan; very special niece, who was more like a daughter, April Lentkowski, her husband, Cory and their daughters, Georgia and Katie of North Carolina; two sisters, Martha Zimmerman of Jefferson and Debra Coe of Oneonta; two niece, one nephew, two great nieces and one great nephew. She is also leaves behind very special friends, Dr. Dave Markowitz, Beatrice Mete, Grandma Ida, Liz Rusin, Joan Shackleton, Jack and Dawn Tuthill and Peggy Falco.

She was predeceased by her parents, and a sister, Sharon Hamm Toften.

There will be no calling hours.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 t the Second Baptist Church, Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Judith Thistle, pastor, officiating.
