Marian Peeters' Obituary
WESTFORD – Marian Peeters, 88, passed to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at her daughter's home with family by her side.
She was born February 4, 1923 in Cooperstown, the daughter of Barney and Nettie (Murray) Snyder.
She married Herbert Peeters. Mrs. Peeters was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a kind and generous lady. Her coffee pot was always on and door was always open to family, friends and anyone who was in need. She enjoyed cooking and felt the more the merrier. She was a hard worker and liked flowers, gardening and loved her animals. Mrs. Peeters was a member of the Northeast Regional Draft Horse Association and the No Name Gang Draft Horse Club.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Theodora (John) Moore, Barbara Bookhout and Alberta (Ronald) Ross; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Herbert on November 17, 1997; a son-in-law, Thomas Bookhout; brothers and sisters, Lewis (Carrie) Snyder, John (Grace) Snyder, Edward (Eliza) Snyder, Volney Snyder, her identical twin sister, May (Bud) Jones, Lawrence (Elizabeth) Snyder and Roxy (Harvey) Cline; and a close family friend, Howard Craig.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Westford United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lawrence Russell, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at the Westford Cemetery.
