ONEONTA – Marion A. Hanor, 94, passed away December 11, 2017 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.

She was born July 19, 1923 in Oneonta, the daughter of Arthur and Anna (Yaple) Cole.

Marion graduated from Oneonta High School.

She married Charles John Hanor on September 7, 1940.

Marion was employed for over 40 years at Bresee's Department Store in Oneonta and enjoyed her working trips to the buyers' seminars in New York City. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was a 62 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by sons, David (Ann Marie) Hanor of Oneonta, Burton (Linda) Hanor of Layton, Utah, Robert Hanor of Newfoundland, PA, and Norman (Susan) Hanor of Oneonta; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles in February of 1958; a son, Stephen C. Hanor and her 5 brothers, her parents and her husband's parents.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services at this time.

A graveside service at the Butternuts Valley Cemetery in Garrettsville will be at a later date.
