MARYLAND – Marion G. Walrath, 79, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta.
She was born December 18, 1929 in Maryland, the daughter of William and Minnie (Livingston) Sutton.
Marion was a Registered Nurse for several facilities and hospitals, retiring from the ARC in Hartwick.
She enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and doing crafts.
Marion is survived by her husband of 65 years, William H. Walrath of Maryland; two sons, Gary Walrath of Maryland and Chris Walrath of Maryland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Vaughan; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Wilsey and several brothers and sister.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Heller Funeral Home, Schenevus, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, chaplain at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Maryland Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, NY 13820.
