ONEONTA - Marjorie I. Toombs (Roe) passed away on August 13, 2018 with family at her bedside, while living in Florida the past ten years, with daughter Melanie and her family.
She was born on August 27, 1936 in Cobleskill, NY. She had one younger sibling a sister, Patricia A. Mills who recently passed in February 2018. She married Merritt C. Toombs on October 13th 1956 who passed away on January 29, 1995.
She was a loving wife, mother, and Nanny to eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren who she loved dearly. Marjorie is survived by her four children, Robin and Thomas Mole of Myrtle Beach, SC, Melanie and Jeffrey Cuddy of Tampa, FL, Jeffrey and Donna Toombs of Davenport NY and Deborah and Jay Gula of Grand Gorge NY; eight grandchildren, Ryan and Stacey Cuddy of Tampa, FL, Brandon and Krista Cuddy of Wesley Chapel, FL, Justin and Austyn Mole of Charleston, SC, Travis Mole of Myrtle Beach, SC, David and Shelby Gula of Grand Gorge, NY, Steven and Destiny Gula of Grand Gorge, NY, Daniel Toombs of Davenport NY and Amanda and Kurt Richter of Davenport NY; the 5 great grandchildren, Maddox and Maverick Cuddy, Everly and Zachary Mole and Harper Richter.
Marjorie will now join her husband Merritt, her parents, Maurice and Emma Roe and her sister where they will reside in the house of the Lord. Another star to shine brightly in the sky as they look down over us all. Those who remember, Marjorie loved to cook and prepare meals especially at the holidays. Chocolate chip cookies along with her assortment of pies were her favorite amongst many people.

Marjorie's wishes were to have a graveside service with immediate family. Final resting place will be at Elm Row Cemetery in Laurens, NY.
