OTEGO – Mark Edward Frailey Sr., 59, died unexpectedly at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital on January 15, 2007

Mark was born on November 25, 1947 in Endicott, NY the son of George Sr. and Elese (Reynolds) Frailey. He was predeceased by his father in May of 1997.

Mark married Renate Gabriele Ernst on June 3, 1978 at the United Methodist Church in Otego.

Mark is a 1968 graduate of Blue Ridge High School in New Milford, PA.

Respectively and proudly he served in the Army National Guard and retired after 20 years of dedicated service.

Most recently, Mark was employed at the State University College at Oneonta as a supervising janitor.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Otego.

He is survived by his wife, Renate; children, Shawnee Waters and Eric Fucito, Heidi and Tom Frederick, Kerri Frailey and Matt Love, Mark Frailey Jr. and Katie Porter, all of Otego, Mark Wesley and Michelle Frailey of Hallstead, PA, Denise Frailey of Cortland; his mother, Elese Frailey of Hallstead, PA; grandchildren, Scott and Alyssa Waters, Thomas, Lindsay and Christopher Frederick, Gabriel Frailey, Rachel Frailey, Thomas and Samantha Frailey and Isabella Frailey; nine brothers and sisters, Pete (Cheryl) Frailey of Conklin, Bob (Pat) Frailey of Cape Vincent, Chris (Terry) Frailey of New Milford, PA, Matthew (Terry) Frailey of Susquehanna, PA, George (Lori) Frailey of Hallstead, PA, Eileen (Gary) Folk of Great Bend, PA, Elizabeth Guzy of Hallstead, PA, Loretta Frailey of Hallstead, PA and Rita Frailey of Hallstead, PA; sister-in-law, Hannelore (Ron) Yager of Otego; two brothers-in-law, Herbert (Beverly) Ernst of Canton, GA, Daniel Ernst of Williamson; a family friend, Randy Bitters of Williamson; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews; and Ollie-McQ the Bernard companion, he grew to love.

He was a well loved dad, grandfather and husband. Mark will be dearly missed.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home in Oneonta.

The funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 20, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Albrecht, retired, officiating.

Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Otego, weather permitting.
