Gloversville - Martha M. Morell, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on March 8, 2022.

She was born August 6, 1944 in Cobleskill, grew up in Hyndsville, and was the daughter of Everett and Florine (Newberry) Shaver.

Martha married Ronald E. Morell on March 11, 1973 at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Cobleskill.

She was a school bus driver for the Cobleskill-Richmondville School District.  She loved her job.  The kids nicknamed her MOMM, mean old Mrs. Morell.

Martha enjoyed puzzles, baking, especially cookies, sewing and crocheting.  She made baby blankets and donated them to churches and women's shelters.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Ronald Morell; her children, Valerie (George) Richards, James Morell, and Daniel Morell; 7 dearly beloved grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Doug (Ann) Shaver, Craig (Carol) Shaver, and Dennis (Kathy) Shaver; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Constance Brooker and Lance Shaver.

Visitation will be 12 p.m. to the memorial service at 1 p.m. on Friday March 18, at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester, with the Rev John Buddle officiating.
