Obituary

WORCESTER – Mary H. (Kobe) Davis, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 Chestnut Park Nursing & Rehabilitation, Oneonta.

She was born December 10, 1916 in New York City. In 1920, she moved to Decatur with her late parents, Frank and Ursula (Panter) Kobe.

On April 27, 1935, she married her late husband, John Davis, Jr. and they moved to Worcester.

Mary was employed for several years at the State University College of Agriculture and Technology in Cobleskill from which she retired in 1979.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and St. Joseph's Altar Rosary Society.

Mary is survived by a son, Robert Davis and spouse, Mildred, of Worcester; a daughter, Patricia Worley and spouse, Michael, of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandsons; two granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Her family thanks the staff at Chestnut Park Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Calling hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a Rosary service starting at 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the E.J. Skinner Co. Funeral Chapel, Worcester.

The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 15th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 201 Main St., Worcester, with the Rev. Ronald Green, MM, as celebrant.

Burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, PO Box 156, Worcester, NY 12197 or to the Worcester Emergency Squad, PO Box 191, Worcester, NY 12197.
