MT. VISION – Mary A. Ludwig, 84, a long time resident of Mt. Vision and Colchester, VT., passed away peacefully on November 9, 2014 at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Oneonta.
Mary was born in Syracuse, NY on June 6, 1930. She had a fulfilling career in Nursing specializing in Obstetrics at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta and finishing her employment at Bassett Hospital in the laboratory.
An animal lover at heart, her personal and compassionate care of people will be missed.
Mary was predeceased by her parents, John and Cora Walker; and a son, William Walker Ludwig.
She is survived by her children, Karen Eddy and husband, Russell of Atlanta, GA, Kim Blum and husband, Alexander of South Burlington, VT; a brother, William Walker of Mt. Vision; granddaughters, Alexander Eddy and Amelia Mary Blum; and several cousins and an aunt.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care she received at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center and 32 years of neighborly love from the Tirado Family of Mt. Vision.
Friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Mary's life from 3 to 4 p.m. with the service starting at 4 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.
Interment with a committal service will be held at Mt. Vision Cemetery 3 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015.
