ONEONTA - Mrs. Molly T. Abbott, 89, of Oneonta was welcomed into heaven on Sunday, September 14, 2008.
Born on May 18, 1919 in Scranton, PA, she was a daughter of the late George & Frances (Talbot) Yohe.
She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Johnson City and Oneonta Central School Districts.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Oneonta and a member of the Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, reading and playing bridge.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; and her brother, Richard Yohe.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Holly) Abbott of Oxford; Robert Michael (Carole) Abbott of Hendersonville, TN; daughter, Kathy (Drue) Muehl of Perry; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and nieces.
Molly's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to her caregivers and Hospice staff for the compassionate care given to her in her time of need, and to the staff at Meals on Wheels and Conrad Boglioli, whom she enjoyed to visit with.
A family gathering and interment at the Glenwood Cemetery in Oneonta will take place prior to the service.
Molly's celebration of life service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at The First Presbyterian Church, 296 Main Street, Oneonta, with the Rev. Mark Montfort, pastor, officiating.
