CLIFTON PARK – Matthew Lee Bowman, 48, passed away August 20, 2017 in his home.

He was born May 12, 1969 in Tacoma, WA and was adopted by John F. and Margaret M. (Mahnken) Bowman.

Matt grew up in a military family, traveling the world. After his father retired, Matt attended school in Little Falls and Oneonta. He also received a BS from SUNY Oneonta.

Matt was employed with the Homestead Restaurant in Colliersville; the IT Department for New York State, Albany; Network Administration for several companies in the Capital District; and currently was a Systems Administrator for Kitware, Clifton Park.

Matt had a passion for dogs and drums, playing in several Albany area bands over the years, and was a good friend to many.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret "Marge" and Michael Schneider of Schenevus; his father John "Jack" Bowman of Apalachicola, FL; his siblings, Jacqueline and Francis Volpe of Columbia, TN, John and Sara Bowman of Farmington, MI, Damon and Heather Schneider of Schenevus, Mike and Erika Bowman of Niskayuna, and Devlon Schneider of Schenevus, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandniece, grandnephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral mass will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 201 Main St., Worcester, NY, with the Rev. Paul J. Mijas as celebrant. Following the interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, a reception and visitation will be in the Social Hall at St. Joseph's Church.
