Schenevus – Maynard Edwin Pier, a longtime resident of Schenevus, passed away November 6, 2019.

He was born on June 11, 1921 the son of Clarence and Gladys Pier, and is survived by his brother, Millard and several nieces and nephews.

Maynard worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Corporation in Nyack and resided his last five years at the New York State Veterans Home in Oxford.  Maynard served in World War II from 1942 to 1945 in the United States Army 748 ^th Tank Battalion.

A military graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Schenevus Cemetery, 67 Main St., Schenevus, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle officiating.
