Merle V. Bell's Obituary
EAST WORCESTER – Merle V. Bell, 93, passed away peacefully October 18, 2013 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
She was born October 4, 1920 in Andes, NY, the daughter of Harry C. and Hilda (VanStenburg) VanBuren.
Merle and Edward Bell were married in Albany in 1952. Edward predeceased her in June of 1985.
She was a resident of the area for more than 40 years.
Merle had a great love for animals, especially her cats, Little One, Baby, Toby and Lucky.
She is survived by several nieces, nephews; special friends, Rev. Dr. George Goodwin and wife, Janet and Bill and Carrie Hunt.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Harry, William, and Norman; a sister and brother-in-law, Harriet and Henry Beagle.
As per Merle's wishes, there will be no services. A private burial will take place at the Maple View Cemetery in East Worcester.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Merle Bell to the Maple View Cemetery, East Worcester, NY 12064.
