Meta Richter's Obituary
ELK CREEK – Meta Richter, 101, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 21, 2009 at the Ross Adult Home in Maryland.
Meta was born, March 28, 1908 in Germany; the daughter of Herman and Anna Popp.
Meta and Carl were married on February 9, 1930 in Brooklyn; he predeceased her on September 14, 1975.
In 1942, Meta and Carl moved to Elk Creek and purchased a dairy farm. Meta was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret and husband Peter Crounse of Penfield, NY; two grandsons, David of Vermont and Jeffrey of Penfield; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hannah Otten of Schenevus and Anita Liersch of Germany.
A private graveside committal service will take place in the Elk Creek Cemetery at a later date.
