Michael George Fay, 81, of Schenevus, NY and formerly of Putnam Lake, NY. passed away on September 30, 2024, after a brief illness.

He is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 62 years and their children Pat, Mike Jr, and Annmarie Shisler (Mark).

He was predeceased by his parents George and Anna, his brothers Jimmy, George, and Rick; and grandson Paul Shisler.

In addition, he is survived by his grandsons Robbie and Sean Shisler and several nieces and nephews.

Mike was a United States Navy veteran.

A man of deep faith he was a devoted parishioner at St, Joseph's Church in Worcester, NY, where he attended mass regularly and was a Eucharistic Minister. Mike proudly served as a leader of many community organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Putnam Lake Community Council, and Sacred Heart Parish Council. He loved playing Santa at church and in the community. Mike had a long career at the phone company retiring twenty-one years ago from Verizon. After retirement, he became the Town Justice for Westford, NY. He was respected for his dedication and hard work. Family and friends loved his Italian food, especially pizza, at many social gatherings.

A wake/visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 3 at Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main Street, Worcester.

The funeral mass will be at Noon, Friday, October 4, at St. Joseph's Church, 201 Main Street, Worcester, with the Rev. Joseph Arockiasamy, as celebrant.  The interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
