ONEONTA – Michael G. Genzardi, 41, passed away unexpectedly October 6, 2018 at his home.

He was born July 12, 1977 in Bethpage, the son of Eugene T. and Kathleen (Good) Genzardi.

Michael and his family moved to Oneonta in 1985 from Massapequa. He graduated from Unatego High School.  He loved playing basketball.

He was employed at A.O Fox Hospital in the food service department for many years.

He is survived by his son, Carmine Genzardi; his father, Eugene T. and wife, Kathryn Carey-Genzardi; mother, Kathleen Genzardi; sisters, Kathleen Imperioli, Mary and husband, Jerome Downing and Geraldine Genzardi and Oliver Manuel; niece, Sophia Imperioli; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Genzardi and uncle, John Good.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 11 ^th at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.

A funeral mass will be 10 a.m., Friday, October 12 ^th at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 39 Walnut St., Oneonta.

The interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
