Worcester – Michael Richard McFee, 60, passed away at home on September 9, 2020.

He was born October 2, 1959 in Brooklyn, the son of John J. and Josephine (Guarraci) McFee.

Michael grew up in Brooklyn and then lived in Patchogue, L.I., Lynchburg, VA, and again in Brooklyn before moving to Worcester in 1986.

After working in several restaurants, Michael pursued his interest in cooking, receiving an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts from SUNY Cobleskill.  Michael later worked at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown and also at Meals-On-Wheels.

Music was Michael's true passion. He was self-taught and could play nearly any instrument.  He was a locally known musician and played with several local bands and participated in various fund-raising benefits.

He had a heart of gold and was known for his kind and generous nature. He will be dearly missed by many.

He is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Donna, Chris & Denise, Liz, Eric & Kim; 13 nieces and nephews; 4 grand-nieces and grandnephews.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Heller & Skinner Funeral Home, 155 Main St., Worcester.  Due to current restrictions, please wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.  Be prepared to possibly wait to enter the funeral home.  A private service for the family will be held.
