Worcester - Michael R. Nelson, 66, passed away, Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Cooperstown Center.

He was born on February 15, 1955 in Oneonta, the son of Charles and Vivian (Campbell) Nelson.

Mike was a lifelong area resident who worked for the Worcester Central School and The Daily Star.

He was a longtime member of the Worcester Fire Department.

Mike is survived by 3 brothers, James of Liverpool, NY, Charles of California and Ed of Arizona; his sister, Doris of Saratoga Springs and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Maryann.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 6, 2021 at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Worcester with Rev. Joseph Arockiasomy, officiating.
