Bloomville – Michael Pagillo, Sr., 82, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at his home.

He was born March 7, 1941 in Brooklyn, the son of Louis and Rose (Vignola) Pagillo.

Michael married Susan Skala on February 22, 1960 in South Carolina.  In 1967 they moved upstate New York from Islip.

Michael retired from the Binghamton Sun & Press Newspaper in 2005.  He was a jack of all trade.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, camping and 4-wheeling.

He is survived by his children, Michael Pagillo, Jr. and wife, Yvonne of Bloomville, Laurie and husband, Kenneth Clow of Laurens, Joseph Pagillo of New Hampshire, James Pagillo of Hartwick, and Thomas Pagillo of Mt. Vision; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, Robert Pagillo of Islip; sister-in-law, Dorothy Gersic; brother-in-law, William Skala several nieces and nephews; his companion, Dina Roberts and her daughter, Lisa and husband, John Dickson; and his lifetime friend, Kenneth Crossman.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Susan and siblings, Concetta Pagillo, Angela Bello, Joseph Pagillo, and Louis Pagillo,

Calling hours will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. with the funeral service at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 16 at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta with the Rev. Judith Thistle officiating.

Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 17 at Elm Row Cemetery, County Route 11 in Laurens.
