Mildred Loomis Pollard "Millie, 98, of The Plains at Parish Homestead, Oneonta, NY, previously a resident of Delhi, NY, Walton, NY and Silver Springs, FL, passed away December 3, 2017.

She was born June 14, 1919 in Ilion, NY the daughter of William Bennett Loomis and Eglantian (Gladys) Fovel Loomis.

Millie married James Nolan Pollard of Ilion in 1942.

In 1937 she graduated from Ilion High School and in 1939 from Utica School of Commerce. She had a secretarial career at SUNY Delhi, retiring in 1994.

Millie enjoyed 52 years of camping, traveling, square dancing with her husband, Jim, until his death in 1994; later-line dancing, swimming, Red Hat Society events, volunteering for Hospice, winters in Spring Lake Village in Florida.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Pollard and wife, Nicole of Centreville, VA; granddaughters, Kathleen Addleson (Robert) of Richmond, VA and Susan Allen (John) of Stuart, FL; great-grandson, John Fin Allen; two nieces and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jim in 1994, and her brother, Edwin Loomis in 2000.

A celebration of life gathering for family and friends will be 1 p.m., Saturday, December 9, 2017 at The Plains at Parish Homestead, 163 Heritage Circle, Oneonta, NY.
