LAURENS – Morris Owen Rowe, Sr., 91, died Monday, April 28, 2014 at the New York State Veteran's Home, Oxford.
He was a United States Army veteran, serving in World War II.
Morris was a long time resident of Laurens.
He was predeceased by his wife, Minnie (Cross) Rowe and son, Clarence Rowe.
He is survived by his sons, Morris, Jr., Alan, Timothy, Samuel, Mark and Patrick; a daughter, Drusilla (Rowe) Pitt; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
As per Morris' wishes, there will be no viewing or calling hours. A simple military graveside ceremony will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Elm Row Cemetery, County Route 11, Laurens.
