Obituary

WESTFORD – Myrtle E. Weidman, 89, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta.

She was born June 15, 1919 in Ossining, the daughter of Henry and Bessie (Valentine) Johnson.

She graduated from Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, winning a Home Maker Award. Myrtle married Keith Weidman on June 29, 1939 in Briarcliff.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Worcester Hose Company, the Worcester Women's Club, was an aide for the Worcester Central School and also worked for the Green Thumb.

Mrs. Weidman was famous for her homemade pies, cakes and cookies; and was a great lover of animals.

She is survived by her son, Kim and wife, Catherine Weidman of Cobleskill; a daughter, Kelda and her husband, Robert Huntington of Westford; grandchildren, Dr. Thomas Keith Weidman of Syracuse, Captain Daniel Kim Weidman and wife, Erika of Copperas Cove, TX, James Brian Huntington and wife, Melanie of Westford, Robert L. Huntington III and wife, Carie of Westford, Kayce Huntington of Westford; three great-granddaughter, Kaylee Mae, Keira Lynn, and Kenna Jane; as well as several cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Keith Weidman in 1994 and her daughter, Kyle Ann Weidman in 1977.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 1 p.m. with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at the E.J. Skinner Funeral Chapel in Worcester, with the Rev. Judith A. Thistle, chaplain at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, officiating.

Interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Worcester.
