Nancy Eisenhard Banker, age 86, of Oneonta, NY died of complications due to dementia on July 3, 2026.

She was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on June 1, 1940 to Frederick (Fritz) Eisenhard and Caroline (nee Hahn) Eisenhard. The family later moved to Warsaw, NY where Nancy attended Warsaw Central School before studying History and Education at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana. She spent two years teaching at Letchworth Central School in Gainesville, NY and for the rest of her career at Stamford Central School in Stamford, NY where she met her future husband, David Banker. They were married in 1985. Nancy was also a long-time Clerk of Session for Charlotte Valley Presbyterian Church in Davenport, NY and served on the Presbytery of Susquehanna Valley session records reading team for a number of years.

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Caroline, her father, Frederick, her brother, Frederick, Jr., her sister Carol Czech, her brother-in-law, Jerry Czech, and her sister-in-law, Deborah.

She is survived by her husband David, her brothers Carl and John and her sister-in-law Mary as well as her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by her dear friends Jamie Seacord, Alice Fiske Coon, and Robert Zemkin, Jr.

A private burial will be held in Warsaw, NY at a date to be determined.
